Live Planted

A Simple Iwagumi Scene

A Simple Iwagumi Scene

This aquascape was completed in an Aqua Design Amano (ADA) Cube Garden 180-P aquarium tank using a stone type native to west Texas. Simple, open, calm are all words to describe the layout created at Aquarium Design Group's gallery in 2007. Rummy-nose tetras are s staple of the live planted aquarium, and their use here was to provide the nice balance to the green of the aquatic plants that they are known for. The aquatic plants chosen for this aquascape were not easily trimmed or pruned, so the layout was allowed to simply grow until eventually it overcame the stones and only the largest remained visible.
