A Layout with Lush Stemmed Aquatic Plants

Frequent trimming of aquatic plants is part of the routine, weekly aquarium maintenance of any live planted tank where the goal is to achieve dense, lush growth. From initial set-up to being this densely grown-in took about 4 months. An aquascape like this will go through several periods of "down-time", usually following intense aquatic plant trimming before growing back to previous beauty. This live planted aquarium used the complete Aqua Design Amano (ADA) system including Aqua Soil Amazonia substrate and the Step Series of liquid fertilizers, for all of which Aquarium Design Group is an exclusive U.S. distributor.
