Decorative Freshwater

An Aquascaped Aquarium featuring Gourami

An Aquascaped Aquarium featuring Gourami

This 220 gallon custom aquarium installation was created to feature the classic freshwater fish known as gouramis. A common fish found in nealry every tropical fish store, and often among the first fish the beginning aquarist keeps, we wanted to show them in a less traditional, more themed setting with good visual harmony. The moon stones and plants served as the primary design elements to compliment the colors of blue gouramis and gold gouramis. So here ADG forgoes the exotic or overtly colorful approach in favor of creating a unique aquarium with uncommon thematic elements. Such an aquarium goes to further show the versatility and design opportunities of a thoughtfully composed decorative freshwater aquarium.
